Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in application development (Internship experience is excluded)
- At least 1 year of experience in big data technologies
- Over 5 years of experience in application development, particularly with Python, SQL, Scala, or Java (preferred)
- 2+ years of working knowledge of a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience with distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL) (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in real-time data and streaming applications (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience with NoSQL technologies (Mongo, Cassandra) (preferred)
- 2+ years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake) (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux and basic commands, including shell scripting (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in Agile engineering practices (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Agile teams to design, execute, assess, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies
- Work alongside a team skilled in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full stack systems
- Utilize programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, along with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, as well as cloud-based data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake
- Stay updated on industry trends, experiment with innovative technologies, engage in internal and external tech communities, and mentor fellow engineers
- Partner with digital product managers to deliver impactful cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans financially
- Conduct unit tests and collaborate with team members for code reviews to ensure high-quality, efficient, and well-structured code
