Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in application development (internship experience excluded)
- At least 1 year of experience with big data technologies
- 5+ years of experience in application development including proficiency in Python, SQL, Scala, and PySpark
- 2+ years of experience with public cloud services, specifically AWS
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with distributed data/computing tools such as MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, and MySQL
- 2+ years of experience working with real-time data and streaming applications
- 2+ years of experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
- 2+ years of data warehousing experience (e.g., Redshift or Snowflake)
- 3+ years of familiarity with UNIX/Linux systems, including basic commands and shell scripting
- 2+ years of experience with Agile engineering methodologies
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions utilizing full-stack development tools and technologies
- Work alongside developers with extensive experience in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems
- Employ programming languages such as Python, Java, and open-source databases as well as cloud-based data warehousing services like Snowflake
- Maintain a passion for emerging technologies and trends by experimenting, learning, and actively participating in technology communities while mentoring peers
- Partner with digital product managers to deliver solid cloud-based solutions, enhancing experiences for millions of Americans striving for financial empowerment
- Conduct unit testing and code reviews with team members to ensure code is meticulously designed, elegantly coded, and optimized for performance
