Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in application development (internship experience not considered)
- At least 1 year of experience working with big data technologies
- 5+ years of application development experience, including skills in Python, SQL, Scala, or Java (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience with distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL) (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience managing real-time data and streaming applications (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) (preferred)
- 2+ years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake) (preferred)
- 3+ years of UNIX/Linux experience, including basic commands and shell scripting (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Partner with Agile teams to architect, develop, test, deploy, and maintain technical solutions using full-stack development tools and methodologies
- Collaborate with a group of developers skilled in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems
- Work with programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, and utilize Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, along with cloud data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake
- Stay updated on emerging tech trends, explore and learn new technologies, engage with internal and external tech communities, and mentor fellow engineers
- Collaborate with digital product managers to create robust cloud-based solutions that enhance experiences and empower millions of Americans financially
- Conduct unit testing and peer reviews to ensure your code is thoroughly designed, well-coded, and optimized for performance
