Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in application development (internship experience does not count)
- At least 1 year of experience with big data technologies
- Preferred: 5+ years of application development experience with languages like Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in a public cloud environment (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience with distributed data/computing tools (e.g., EMR or MySQL)
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience working on real-time data and streaming applications
- Preferred: 2+ years of NoSQL implementation experience (e.g., Mongo, Cassandra)
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift or Snowflake)
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux, including basic commands and shell scripting
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience applying Agile engineering practices
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and maintain technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies
- Work alongside a team of developers experienced in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full stack systems
- Utilize programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, along with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, as well as Cloud-based data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake
- Share your enthusiasm for keeping up with tech trends, experimenting with new technologies, participating in technology communities, and mentoring fellow engineers
- Team up with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans to achieve financial wellness
- Conduct unit tests and collaborate with team members to ensure code is well-designed, elegantly crafted, and optimized for performance
