Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in application development (Internship experience not included)
- At least 2 years of experience with big data technologies
- Minimum of 1 year of cloud computing experience (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Masters Degree preferred
- Over 9 years of application development experience including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java preferred
- 4+ years of experience working with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) preferred
- 5+ years of experience with distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL) preferred
- 4+ years of experience on real-time data and streaming applications
- 4+ years of experience with NoSQL systems (Mongo, Cassandra) preferred
- 4+ years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake) preferred
- 4+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux including basic commands and shell scripting preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Agile engineering practices preferred
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and maintain technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies
- Lead a team of developers with expertise in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full stack systems
- Utilize programming languages such as Java, Scala, and Python along with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases as well as cloud-based data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake
- Stay updated on technology trends, explore new technologies, engage in internal and external tech communities, and mentor other engineering team members
- Work closely with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that enhance experiences for millions of Americans seeking financial empowerment
- Conduct unit testing and peer reviews to ensure code quality, performance efficiency, and elegance
