Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in application development (internship experience is not considered)
- At least 1 year of experience with big data technologies
- Preferred: 5 years of experience in application development with Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
- Preferred: 2 years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Preferred: 3 years of experience with distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL)
- Preferred: 2 years of experience on real-time data and streaming applications
- Preferred: 2 years of NoSQL implementation experience (Mongo, Cassandra)
- Preferred: 2 years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake)
- Preferred: 3 years of UNIX/Linux experience including basic commands and shell scripting
- Preferred: 2 years of Agile engineering practices experience
Responsibilities
- Collaborate within Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies
- Work alongside a team of developers with expertise in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems
- Use programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, and engage with open-source RDBMS and NoSQL databases along with cloud-based data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake
- Share enthusiasm for staying current with technology trends, experimenting with new technologies, connecting with internal and external technology communities, and mentoring peers in the engineering field
- Partner with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that enhance user experiences and empower millions of Americans financially
- Conduct unit tests and collaborative reviews with team members to ensure high standards for design, code quality, and performance optimization
