Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in application development (Internship experience does not apply)
- At least 2 years of experience working with big data technologies
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Masters Degree (preferred)
- Over 9 years of experience in application development with expertise in Python, SQL, Scala, or Java (preferred)
- More than 4 years of experience with public cloud environments (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) (preferred)
- At least 5 years of experience with distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL) (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience in real-time data and streaming applications (preferred)
- 4+ years of NoSQL implementation experience (Mongo, Cassandra) (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience in data warehousing (Redshift or Snowflake) (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux including basic commands and shell scripting (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience utilizing Agile engineering methodologies (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and maintain technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies
- Guide a team of developers with extensive expertise in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full stack systems
- Employ programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, as well as Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, and cloud data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake
- Stay updated on technology trends, engage in experimentation with and learning of new technologies, participate in internal and external technology communities, and mentor engineering peers
- Partner with digital product managers to deliver comprehensive cloud-based solutions that enhance user experiences and empower millions of Americans financially
- Conduct unit tests and facilitate reviews with fellow team members to ensure your code is thoroughly designed, skillfully coded, and sharply tuned for optimal performance
