Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in application development (internships not counted)
- At least 1 year of experience working with big data technologies
- 5+ years of experience in application development involving Python, SQL, Scala, or Java (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience utilizing public cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud) (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience working with distributed data/computing tools (such as MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL) (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience with real-time data and streaming applications (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience implementing NoSQL databases (such as MongoDB, Cassandra) (preferred)
- 2+ years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake) (preferred)
- 3+ years of familiarity with UNIX/Linux, including basic command usage and shell scripting (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience with agile engineering methodologies (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support comprehensive technical solutions using full-stack development technologies
- Work alongside a team of developers skilled in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems
- Employ programming languages like Java, Scala, Python, as well as Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, alongside cloud-based data warehousing solutions such as Redshift and Snowflake
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for staying updated on technology trends, experimenting with new technologies, engaging in internal and external tech communities, and mentoring fellow engineers
- Partner with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud solutions that empower millions of Americans in achieving financial growth
- Conduct unit testing and review code with peers to ensure designs are rigorously constructed, elegantly coded, and well-optimized for performance
