Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in application development (Internship experience does not count)
- At least 1 year of experience working with big data technologies
- Preferred: 5+ years of application development experience using Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
- Preferred: Over 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience with distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL)
- Preferred: Over 2 years of experience in real-time data and streaming applications
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience with NoSQL systems (Mongo, Cassandra)
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience with data warehousing solutions (Redshift, Snowflake)
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux, including basic commands and shell scripting
- Preferred: 2+ years implementing Agile engineering practices
- Preferred: 1+ years of experience using DataBricks
- Preferred: 1+ years of experience with Lakehouse, Iceberg, or Delta lake
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across full-stack development tools and technologies
- Work alongside a team of seasoned developers skilled in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems
- Utilize programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, as well as Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, and cloud-based data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake
- Maintain a passion for tracking technology trends, experimenting with new technologies, engaging in technology communities, and mentoring fellow engineering team members
- Partner with digital product managers to deliver resilient cloud-based solutions that enhance the financial experiences of millions of Americans
- Conduct unit tests and peer reviews to ensure that code is meticulously designed, well-structured, and optimized for performance
