Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in application development (internship experience not included)
- At least 1 year of experience working with big data technologies
- 5+ years of practical experience in application development using Python, SQL, Scala, or Java (preferred)
- Over 2 years of experience in a public cloud environment (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience utilizing distributed data/computing tools such as MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL (preferred)
- More than 2 years of experience in real-time data and streaming applications (preferred)
- Extensive experience with NoSQL implementations (Mongo, Cassandra) for at least 2 years (preferred)
- 2+ years of data warehousing expertise (Redshift or Snowflake) (preferred)
- At least 3 years of familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments, including shell commands and scripting (preferred)
- More than 2 years of experience applying Agile engineering principles (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively within Agile teams to create, develop, test, execute, and maintain technical solutions using full-stack development tools and methodologies
- Engage with a team of developers possessing profound expertise in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems
- Employ programming languages including Java, Scala, Python, as well as Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, alongside cloud-based data warehousing solutions like Redshift and Snowflake
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for keeping abreast with technological advancements, experimenting with and acquiring new skills, involving oneself in both internal and external tech communities, and guiding fellow engineering professionals
- Work closely with digital product managers to provide substantial cloud-based solutions that facilitate empowering financial outcomes for millions of Americans
- Conduct unit testing and perform code reviews alongside teammates to ensure that the codebase is meticulously designed, elegantly executed, and efficiently optimized for performance
