Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 3 years in application development (internship experience excluded)
- At least 1 year of experience in big data technologies
- 5 years in application development including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java (preferred)
- 2 years experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud) (preferred)
- 3 years with distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL) (preferred)
- 2 years of working on real-time data and streaming applications (preferred)
- 2 years with NoSQL implementations (Mongo, Cassandra) (preferred)
- 2 years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake) (preferred)
- 3 years with UNIX/Linux, including basic commands and shell scripting (preferred)
- 2 years with Agile engineering practices (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, and implement technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies
- Work alongside developers with expertise in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems
- Utilize programming languages like Python, Java, Scala, and Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases along with cloud-based data warehousing services such as Redshift and Snowflake
- Share enthusiasm for staying updated on technology trends and engage with new technologies, while also mentoring fellow engineering community members
- Partner with digital product managers to deliver comprehensive cloud-based solutions that create impactful experiences for millions
- Conduct unit tests and reviews with team members to ensure high-quality code that is well-designed, elegantly crafted, and optimized for performance
