Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in application development (Internship experience does not apply)
- At least 1 year of experience in big data technologies
- Preferred: 5 years of experience in application development with technologies like Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
- Preferred: 2 years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Preferred: 3 years of experience with distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL)
- Preferred: 2 years of experience working on real-time data and streaming applications
- Preferred: 2 years of experience with NoSQL implementation (MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Preferred: 2 years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake)
- Preferred: 3 years of experience with UNIX/Linux including basic commands and shell scripting
- Preferred: 2 years of experience with Agile engineering practices
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support comprehensive technical solutions utilizing full-stack development tools and technologies
- Work alongside a team of developers proficient in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full stack systems
- Utilize programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, as well as Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases
- Employ cloud-based data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake
- Stay updated on technological trends and actively participate in both internal and external tech communities, mentoring fellow engineering team members
- Partner with digital product managers to deliver effective cloud-based solutions that enhance financial empowerment for millions of Americans
- Conduct unit tests and participate in code reviews to ensure meticulous design, coding excellence, and optimal performance tuning
