Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a quantitative field such as Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or Engineering
- At least 1 year of experience in analytical roles
- Masters degree in Business or a quantitative field is preferred
- 1+ years of experience in statistical model development
- 1+ years of experience in market research
- 1+ years of experience in SQL querying
- 2+ years of experience in business analysis
- 1+ years of experience in consulting is an advantage
- Proven analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and sound business judgment
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Responsibilities
- Analyze and identify business challenges and opportunities for enhancement, providing strategic recommendations
- Conduct modeling and analytics to support new product and pricing strategies across various lending products
- Assist with marketing initiatives focused on direct-to-consumer and retail channel products, delivering insights for new customer experience designs
- Drive improvements in credit performance by linking future consumer credit trends with historical data, developing risk models, and robust analysis
- Frame problems, develop hypotheses, execute tests, and create solutions while assessing operational feasibility and leading implementation
- Collaborate closely with teams around Capital One, including IT, Sales, Operations, and Finance, to enhance quality, volume, service, and profitability
- Employ a strategic and analytical mindset in decision-making and problem-solving processes
- Maintain a strong results-oriented approach, focusing on achieving both immediate and long-term objectives in a fluid environment
