Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience (internship experience not included)
- At least 1 year of cloud computing experience (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- A minimum of 4 years in a people management role
- Masters Degree preferred
- 9 years of experience in a programming language such as Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js preferred
- 3 years of cloud service experience (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) preferred
- 4 years of experience with open source frameworks preferred
- 7 years of people management experience preferred
- 2 years of experience in Agile methodologies preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead a diverse portfolio of technology initiatives and a team of developers skilled in distributed microservices and full stack systems
- Drive innovative solutions that address regulatory standards for the organization
- Stay abreast of technological trends, engage in experimentation with new technologies, and contribute to both internal and external tech communities
- Mentor and support fellow engineers, and occasionally write or review code
- Work alongside digital product managers to implement robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans financially
- Utilize programming tools such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, alongside Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes, and AWS tools and services
