Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields, plus a minimum of 6 years of experience in developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies, or a Masters degree in the same disciplines with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- At least 6 years of programming experience using Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
- 7 years of experience in deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or similar).
- Experience in designing, developing, integrating, delivering, and supporting complex AI systems.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a technical team and influence stakeholders across various functions.
- Experience in developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies, such as LLM Inference, Similarity Search and VectorDBs, Guardrails, and Memory, using languages including Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang.
- Skill in developing and implementing advanced techniques for optimizing training and inference software to enhance hardware utilization, reduce latency, improve throughput, and decrease costs.
- A passion for keeping up with the latest developments in AI research and systems and applying innovative techniques effectively in production environments.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, with the talent to explain complex AI concepts to peers clearly.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to deliver AI-enhanced products that transform how our associates operate and how our customers engage with us.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain AI software components, which may include foundation model training, large language model inference, similarity search, guardrails, model evaluation, experimentation, governance, and observability.
- Utilize a wide array of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies including AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, Nemo Guardrails, and PyTorch.
- Innovate and implement cutting-edge LLM optimization strategies to enhance the scalability, cost-effectiveness, latency, and throughput of large-scale production AI systems.
- Contribute to the technical vision and long-term strategy for foundational AI systems at our company.
