Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields plus a minimum of 3 years of experience in developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies, or a Masters degree in the same areas with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of programming experience in Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
- 4 years of experience in deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or equivalent private cloud) is preferred.
- Experience in developing, delivering, and supporting AI services.
- Familiarity with state-of-the-art techniques for enhancing training and inference software performance for improved hardware utilization, latency, throughput, and cost.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to create AI-powered products that transform our associates workflows and customer interactions.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain AI software components, including model training, large language model inference, similarity search, governance, and observability.
- Utilize a wide array of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies such as AWS Ultraclusters, Hugging Face, VectorDBs, Nemo Guardrails, and PyTorch.
- Innovate and implement advanced optimization techniques for large-scale production AI systems focusing on performance aspects such as scalability, cost, latency, and throughput.
- Assist in shaping the technical vision and long-term roadmap for foundational AI systems at Capital One.
