Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines with a minimum of 6 years of experience in AI and ML algorithm development, or a Masters degree in similar fields with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of programming experience using Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
- 7 years of experience implementing scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or similar).
- Background in designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining complex AI systems.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams as well as influence stakeholders across various departments.
- Experience in developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies using languages such as Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang.
- Familiarity with optimizing training and inference processes to enhance hardware efficiency, reduce latency, improve throughput, and minimize costs.
- Commitment to staying updated on the latest AI research and effectively applying innovative techniques in practical settings.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex AI concepts to peers clearly.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to create AI-driven products that redefine our associates workflows and customer interactions.
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain AI software components, covering areas such as foundation model training, large language model inference, similarity search, governance, and observability.
- Utilize a wide range of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies, including AWS Ultraclusters, Hugging Face, VectorDBs, Nemo Guardrails, and PyTorch.
- Innovate and implement cutting-edge large language model optimization methods to enhance performance metrics such as scalability, cost efficiency, latency, and throughput of extensive production AI systems.
- Contribute to the technical vision and long-term strategy for foundational AI systems at Capital One.
