Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or AI with a minimum of 10 years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies, or a Masters degree with at least 8 years of experience
- Over 10 years of programming experience in Python, Go, Scala, or Java
- 9 years of experience implementing scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or equivalent private cloud)
- 2+ years of experience with Agentic Frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGen)
- 2+ years of experience with LLMOps (Google Cloud Vertex AI, Amazon SageMaker, Azure Machine Learning)
- 8+ years of experience in designing critical machine learning platforms
- 2+ years of experience in architecting, designing, developing, integrating, and supporting complex AI systems
- Proven ability to lead and mentor teams and influence stakeholders up to the VP level
- Experience developing AI algorithms using Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field
- Knowledge of optimizing training and inference software to enhance hardware utilization and efficiency
- Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex AI concepts clearly
- Experience leading GenAI or LLM-powered applications in production
- Deep understanding of Responsible AI principles and multi-tenant security patterns
- Mastery of Kubernetes (multi-region clusters, service mesh)
- Commitment to staying updated on the latest AI research and techniques
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, researchers, technical program managers, and product managers to create AI-driven products that transform how our associates work and how customers engage with Capital One
- Contribute to the platform architecture, regularly publishing and refining diagrams and APIs related to agent orchestration and multi-tenant policy enforcement
- Standardize and automate agentic workflows, evaluating frameworks and implementing the most effective patterns for enterprise use
- Enhance the developer experience by designing an end-to-end GenAI SDK, CLI, and starter kits, reducing prototyping to production timeframes
- Ensure trust and safety by establishing guardrail services, including prompt firewalls and audit APIs, to maintain zero Sev4 incidents
- Work with cross-organizational architects to optimize orchestration, achieving cost reductions and enhancing performance via innovation
- Manage central Helm charts, operators, and CRDs that auto-scale agents to meet tenant SLAs
- Mentor and share knowledge through architecture office hours, authoring technical documents, and representing Capital One at major AI conferences
