Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines
- Minimum 6 years of experience in developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies (or 4 years with a Masters degree)
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Go, Scala, or Java for at least 6 years
- Familiarity with deploying responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure (preferably 7 years of experience)
- Experience in designing, developing, and integrating complex AI systems
- Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, influencing cross-functional stakeholders
- Proficient in developing AI and ML algorithms using languages like Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang
- Experience in optimizing training and inference software to enhance hardware utilization and performance
- Passionate about the latest AI research and the practical application of novel techniques in production
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex AI concepts to peers clearly
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, research scientists, program managers, and product managers to create AI-driven products that transform how our associates operate and how customers interact with Capital One
- Architect, develop, test, deploy, and maintain AI software components, focusing on areas such as foundation model training, language model inference, and system observability
- Utilize a variety of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies including AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, and PyTorch
- Innovate and integrate cutting-edge optimization techniques to enhance the performance and scalability of large-scale production AI systems
- Contribute to the strategic vision and long-term development plan of Capital Ones foundational AI systems
