Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar fields with a minimum of 10 years in developing AI and ML algorithms, or a Masters degree with at least 8 years in the same area
- Over 10 years of experience in programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java
- 9 years of experience in deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms, such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
- Experience in architecting, designing, developing, integrating, delivering, and maintaining complex enterprise AI systems
- Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams and influence stakeholders up to SVP level
- Familiarity with developing AI and ML algorithms using Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang
- Experience in applying advanced techniques for optimizing training and inference software to enhance hardware utilization and efficiency
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex AI concepts to peers effectively
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to create AI-driven products that enhance associate operations and customer engagement with Capital One
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components such as foundation model training, large language model inference, similarity search, model evaluation, and observability
- Utilize a wide range of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies, including AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, and PyTorch
- Innovate and implement cutting-edge LLM optimization techniques to enhance performance aspects like scalability, cost, latency, and throughput in large-scale production AI systems
- Contribute to the technical strategy and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems within Capital One
