Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or military experience
- Over 3 years of experience in financial services or a highly regulated sector (healthcare, energy, telecommunications)
- More than 3 years of experience setting up network defenses (firewalls, network access control, intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, web application firewalls, web gateways, and proxies) within AWS or GCP
- At least 2 years of experience applying Zero Trust or Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) principles in AWS or GCP
- One or more certifications for AWS or GCP
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in audit or risk management
Responsibilities
- Provide advisory guidance, oversight, and constructive challenge to the first line of defense
- Conduct technical evaluations of cybersecurity controls design and efficacy
- Prepare assessments for senior management, regulatory bodies, and the Board of Directors when required
- Stay updated on emerging cyber threats and their potential impacts on the organization
- Collaborate effectively with peers, stakeholders, and leadership across various departments to meet objectives
- Coordinate project-related tasks and outputs to ensure seamless collaboration within the team and among stakeholder groups
- Demonstrate a history of leading, mentoring, and influencing team members
- Communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality outcomes
- Work independently as well as cross-functionally
- Be execution-oriented and self-motivated
