Requirements
Must:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
- Minimum of 6 years of experience with build and deployment tools (such as Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory)
- At least 4 years of experience working with AWS
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Strong experience with DevOps practices in hardware and software at scale (preferred)
- Extensive knowledge of enterprise networking, video conferencing, and cybersecurity principles applied to networked devices (preferred)
- Proven track record of driving technical strategies and managing complex projects (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to enhance engineering quality and execution within the team
- Advocate for engineering best practices including thorough code reviews and documentation
- Facilitate technical discussions and design reviews for significant platform initiatives
- Communicate and implement the technical vision and roadmap for platform engineering, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
- Spearhead the integration of AI and automation to enhance AV systems and improve user experience
- Establish and enforce AV technology standards while evaluating new solutions
- Maintain expertise in platform architecture, ensuring availability, scalability, and security
- Collaborate with product managers and security teams to convert business needs into effective technical solutions
- Implement DevOps strategies to streamline engineering processes, emphasizing automation and quality assurance
- Plan and oversee platform engineering projects, managing timelines and risks
- Standardize procedures for troubleshooting complex technical issues
- Direct software and firmware release processes to ensure smooth upgrades and maintenance
- Lead incident response and conduct reviews for operational improvement
- Define and track performance indicators for platform health and system performance
