Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum 4 years of experience in application development (Internships do not count)
- At least 2 years of experience in big data technologies
- At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- 7+ years of experience in application development with skills in Python, SQL, Scala, or Java (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience with public cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) (preferred)
- 4+ years with Distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL) (preferred)
- 4+ years working with real-time data and streaming applications (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience implementing NoSQL (Mongo, Cassandra) (preferred)
- 4+ years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake) (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux, including basic commands and shell scripting (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies
- Work alongside developers experienced in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems
- Utilize programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, and engage with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases as well as Cloud-based data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake
- Stay informed about technology trends by experimenting with new technologies, participating in internal and external tech communities, and mentoring other engineers
- Partner with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud solutions that enhance the financial empowerment of millions of Americans
- Conduct unit tests and peer reviews to ensure code is well-designed, efficiently coded, and optimized for performance
