Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in application development (Internships not counted)
- At least 2 years of experience with big data technologies
- Minimum of 1 year experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Preferred: 7 years of application development experience with Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
- Preferred: 4 years of experience in public cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Preferred: 4 years of experience with Distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL)
- Preferred: 4 years of experience with real-time data and streaming applications
- Preferred: 4 years of experience in NoSQL implementations (Mongo, Cassandra)
- Preferred: 4 years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake)
- Preferred: 4 years of experience with UNIX/Linux, including basic commands and shell scripting
- Preferred: 2 years of experience in Agile engineering practices
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support tech solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies
- Work with a team of developers experienced in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full stack systems
- Utilize programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, as well as Open Source RDBMS, NoSQL databases, and cloud data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake
- Stay current with tech trends, experiment with new technologies, and engage in both internal and external tech communities
- Mentor fellow engineering community members
- Partner with digital product managers to deliver powerful cloud-based solutions that enhance financial empowerment for millions of Americans
- Conduct unit tests and code reviews with team members to ensure code is well-designed, efficiently coded, and optimized for performance
