Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 4 years in application development (not including internship experience)
- At least 2 years of experience with big data technologies
- A year or more in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Over 7 years of experience in application development encompassing Python, SQL, Scala, or Java (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience with public cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) (preferred)
- 4+ years working with distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL) (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience with real-time data and streaming applications (preferred)
- 4+ years of NoSQL experience (Mongo, Cassandra) (preferred)
- 4+ years of data warehousing knowledge (Redshift or Snowflake) (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience using UNIX/Linux, including basic commands and shell scripting (preferred)
- 2+ years of expertise in Agile engineering practices (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Partner with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions utilizing full-stack development tools and technologies
- Collaborate with a team well-versed in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems
- Employ programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python alongside Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, as well as cloud-based data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake
- Foster a passion for technology trends, engaging in experimentation with new technologies, participating in technology communities, and mentoring engineering peers
- Work alongside digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans in their financial journeys
- Conduct unit tests and review code with teammates to ensure high-quality, efficient, and performance-optimized programming
