Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields, along with a minimum of 4 years of experience in developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies, or a Masters degree in these fields with at least 2 years of relevant experience
- A minimum of 4 years of programming experience using Python, Go, Scala, or Java
- 6 years of experience in deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or similar private cloud)
- Experience in designing, developing, and supporting AI services
- Familiarity with developing AI and ML technologies such as LLM Inference, Similarity Search and VectorDBs, and Guardrails using programming languages like Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang
- Proficiency in enhancing training and inference software for improved hardware utilization, latency, and cost efficiency
- Dedication to staying updated with the latest AI research and a proven ability to apply innovative techniques in production settings
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to create AI-driven products that enhance workflows and customer interactions at Capital One
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain AI software components, including foundation model training, large language model inference, similarity search, and governance
- Utilize a wide range of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies, including AWS Ultraclusters and PyTorch
- Innovate and apply state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques to enhance the performance of large-scale production AI systems
- Help shape the technical vision and long-term roadmap for foundational AI systems at Capital One
