Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 4 years of experience in developing AI and ML technologies, or a Masters degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience
- At least 4 years of programming experience with Python, Go, Scala, or Java
- 6 years of experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or equivalent)
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and delivering AI services
- Proficiency in developing AI and ML algorithms (e.g., LLM Inference, Similarity Search, VectorDBs) using Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang
- Experience in optimizing training and inference software to enhance hardware utilization and reduce latency and cost
- A strong commitment to staying updated with the latest in AI research and implementing novel techniques in production
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to create AI-powered solutions that enhance our operations and customer interactions
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain AI software components, including foundation model training and large language model inference
- Utilize a wide range of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies such as AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, and PyTorch
- Innovate and implement advanced LLM optimization methods to enhance the performance of large-scale AI systems
- Contribute to the strategic vision and long-term development of foundational AI systems at Capital One
