Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar fields, along with at least 4 years of experience in developing AI and ML algorithms, or a Masters degree in the same fields with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- A minimum of 4 years of programming experience in languages such as Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
- 6 years of experience in deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or similar private cloud services) is preferred.
- Familiarity with designing, developing, delivering, and maintaining AI services.
- Background in AI and ML algorithms (e.g., LLM Inference, Similarity Search and VectorDBs, Guardrails) using Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang.
- Experience in optimizing training and inference software to enhance hardware utilization, manage latency, throughput, and reduce costs.
- An enthusiastic approach to staying updated on the latest advancements in AI research and effectively applying innovative methods in production.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a diverse group of engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to create AI-driven products that transform interactions with Capital One.
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain AI software components, including foundation model training, large language model inference, similarity search, and observability.
- Utilize a wide range of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies, such as AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, and PyTorch.
- Develop and apply cutting-edge LLM optimization techniques to enhance performance metrics such as scalability, cost efficiency, latency, and throughput in large-scale production AI systems.
- Contribute to the overall technical vision and long-term strategy for foundational AI systems at Capital One.
