Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields plus a minimum of 4 years of experience in developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies, or a Masters degree in those fields with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- A minimum of 4 years of programming experience in languages such as Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
- 6 years of experience implementing scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or equivalent private cloud) is preferred.
- Experience in designing, developing, delivering, and supporting AI services is a plus.
- Familiarity with developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies using languages such as Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang is desired.
- Experience in using state-of-the-art techniques for enhancing training and inference software to improve hardware efficiency, decrease latency, enhance throughput, and manage costs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to develop AI-driven products that transform associate workflows and customer interactions with Capital One.
- Design, implement, test, launch, and maintain AI software components, including foundation model training, large language model inference, similarity search, guardrails, model evaluation, experimentation, governance, and observability.
- Utilize a wide range of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies, including AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, Nemo Guardrails, and PyTorch.
- Innovate and deploy cutting-edge LLM optimization methods to enhance the performance, scalability, cost-efficiency, latency, and throughput of large-scale production AI systems.
- Contribute to the technical vision and long-term strategy for foundational AI systems at Capital One.
