Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields plus a minimum of 4 years of experience in developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies, or a Masters degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Minimum of 4 years experience programming in Python, Go, Scala, or Java
- 6 years of experience deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or equivalent)
- Proven track record in designing, developing, and supporting AI services
- Experience in developing and applying advanced AI and ML algorithms (e.g. LLM Inference, Similarity Search, VectorDBs, Guardrails, Memory)
- Strong ability to optimize training and inference software for performance improvements such as latency, throughput, and cost
- Passion for keeping up with the latest advancements in AI research and effectively applying novel techniques in production
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to create AI-driven products that transform customer interactions
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain AI software components including foundation model training, large language model inference, and more
- Utilize a wide range of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies such as AWS Ultraclusters and PyTorch
- Create and implement cutting-edge LLM optimization methods to enhance the scalability, cost efficiency, and performance of large-scale production AI systems
- Contribute to the strategic vision and long-term development of foundational AI systems at Capital One
