Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields
- Minimum 4 years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies with a Bachelors degree, or at least 2 years with a Masters degree
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Go, Scala, or Java for at least 4 years
- Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure (6 years preferred)
- Familiarity with designing, developing, and supporting AI services
- Experience with AI and ML algorithms, including LLM Inference, Similarity Search, and VectorDBs, using Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang
- Skills in optimizing training and inference software for efficiency in hardware utilization, latency, throughput, and cost
- Strong aptitude for staying updated on the latest AI research and effectively applying new techniques in production
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to develop AI-driven products that enhance our operations and customer interactions
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain AI software components, including foundation model training and large language model inference
- Utilize a variety of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies, such as AWS Ultraclusters and PyTorch
- Create and apply innovative LLM optimization techniques to enhance performance metrics like scalability, cost, latency, and throughput
- Contribute to the technical vision and long-term strategy for foundational AI systems at Capital One
