Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering or solution architecture (Internship experience not counted)
- At least 3 years of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- A minimum of 1 year of experience implementing machine learning or artificial intelligence on enterprise platforms
- Preferred: Masters Degree
- Preferred: 10+ years of experience in software engineering or solution architecture
- Preferred: 7+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise platform solutions
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience with Agile software development
- Preferred: 4+ years of experience with AWS
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience in defining software design, architecture, and engineering practices
Responsibilities
- Increase awareness and drive the adoption of modern technologies, articulating consumer and engineering advantages to gain alignment
- Approach tasks with a platform mindset, demonstrating deep understanding of multi-tenancy, serverless computing, and high-performance computing patterns
- Foster a culture of engineering excellence, leveraging opportunities for solution reuse and innersourcing as appropriate
- Act as a trusted advisor for specific technology, platform, or capability domain, contributing to use cases and implementations in a cohesive manner
- Effectively engage with and influence key stakeholders throughout the organization
- Lead initiatives to develop next-generation talent in technology, mentoring existing staff and actively sourcing external candidates to strengthen Capital Ones technical capabilities
- Balance providing expertise with creating an inclusive environment that values and champions diverse ideas; utilize knowledge to enhance skills within the broader Capital One team
