Distinguished Engineer, Card Technology - McLean

- Bachelors Degree - Minimum of 9 years in software engineering, emphasizing solution architecture and enterprise design patterns - At least 7 years in Data Engineering or Machine Learning Engineering with experience in creating and managing large-scale production data pipelines (PySpark, SQL, Airflow) - A minimum of 5 years in Cloud Native Architecture (preferably AWS), focusing on container orchestration (Kubernetes/KubeFlow) and serverless design - At least 3 years in a Technical Leadership role (Principal, Staff, or Distinguished Engineer), leading cross-functional projects without direct reporting responsibilities - 10+ years in Software Engineering and Solution Architecture focused on high-scale data systems (preferred) - 3+ years in Machine Learning Engineering, specifically applying LLMs or Agentic workflows in live environments (preferred) - Extensive expertise in Data Design (Delta Lake, Snowflake, or Iceberg) and Streaming (Kafka) (preferred) - Proven experience in building MarTech or Personalization engines scalable to millions of users (preferred) - Excellent communication skills to articulate the business value of Agentic AI concepts for Customer Experience & Growth Marketing leadership (preferred)
