Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum 7 years of experience in data engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data architecture
- Preferred: Masters Degree
- Preferred: 7+ years of experience with Python, Java, Go, and SQL
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience with Kafka, Airflow, Spark, AWS Glue/Kinesis
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience with Databricks or Snowflake
- Preferred: 1+ year of experience in deploying machine learning models
Responsibilities
- Raise awareness and enhance understanding of modern technologies, showcasing benefits to consumers and engineers for increased buy-in
- Collaborate on resolving Capital Ones most challenging issues to fulfill business needs impacting customers and associates
- Balance expertise with fostering an inclusive environment for sharing and promoting diverse ideas; leverage knowledge to develop skills within the broader Capital One team
- Cultivate a culture of engineering excellence, seizing opportunities to reuse and innersource solutions whenever feasible
- Effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders throughout the organization at all levels
- Function as a trusted advisor for specific technologies, platforms, or capabilities, aiding in cohesive use case and implementation development
- Pave the way for nurturing the next generation of tech talent by mentoring existing team members and actively seeking external candidates to strengthen Capital Ones tech workforce
