Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or a Masters degree plus relevant experience
- At least 8 years of experience in developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies, or 6 years with a Masters degree
- Proficient in programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java for a minimum of 8 years
- Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated skills in architecting and supporting complex AI systems
- Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Familiarity with optimizing training and inference software for performance enhancements
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex AI concepts clearly
- 2 years of experience with Agentic Frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGen)
- 2 years of experience with LLMOps (Google Cloud Vertex AI, Amazon SageMaker, or Azure Machine Learning)
- Experience in developing AI and ML algorithms using multiple programming languages
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to create AI-driven products
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software components for AI applications, including foundation model training and model evaluation
- Utilize various open-source and SaaS AI technologies, such as AWS Ultraclusters and PyTorch
- Introduce advanced optimization techniques for large-scale AI systems to enhance scalability, latency, and throughput
- Contribute to the technical strategy and long-term vision for foundational AI systems at Capital One
