Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree
- Minimum of 7 years experience in data engineering
- At least 3 years experience in data architecture
- Minimum of 2 years experience developing applications on AWS
- Masters degree preferred
- Over 9 years experience in data engineering preferred
- More than 3 years experience in data modeling preferred
- At least 2 years experience with ontology standards for domain definition preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience using Python, SQL, or Scala preferred
- One year of experience deploying machine learning models preferred
- At least 3 years experience implementing big data processing solutions on AWS preferred
Responsibilities
- Foster awareness and enhance understanding while driving the adoption of modern technologies, promoting both consumer and engineering benefits to garner support
- Balance providing expert guidance with cultivating an inclusive atmosphere where diverse ideas are valued; utilize expertise to enhance skills within the broader Capital One team
- Champion a culture of engineering excellence, leveraging opportunities to reuse and innersource solutions whenever possible
- Communicate effectively and influence key stakeholders across all levels within the organization
- Serve as a trusted advisor for specific technology, platform, or capability domains, aiding in the development of use cases and implementation strategies in a cohesive manner
- Pave the way for nurturing next-generation tech talent by mentoring internal personnel and proactively recruiting external candidates to enhance Capital Ones technical workforce
