Requirements
Must:
- Possess or be pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, AI, Mathematics or a related discipline, or hold an M.S. in the same fields with 2 years of experience in Applied Research
- Comfortable with open-source languages and enthusiastic about further development
- Hands-on experience in constructing AI foundation models using open-source tools and cloud platforms
- Extensive knowledge of AI methodologies
- Proven track record of building large deep learning models, specializing in language, images, events, or graphs
- Familiarity with one or more techniques like training optimization, self-supervised learning, robustness, explainability, or Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF)
- Demonstrated engineering mindset evident from successful large-scale model deliverables
- Experience in producing libraries or platform-level code for existing products
- Capable of pursuing an independent research agenda on significant problems
- Commitment to ethical practices and a genuine focus on customer outcomes
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a diverse team of data scientists, software engineers, machine learning engineers, and product managers to develop AI-driven products that transform customer interactions with their finances
- Utilize an extensive technology stack, including Pytorch, AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, Lightning, VectorDBs, among others, to extract insights from vast amounts of numeric and textual data
- Develop AI foundation models through all stages, including design, training, evaluation, validation, and implementation
- Engage in impactful applied research to translate cutting-edge AI advancements into next-gen customer experiences
- Communicate technical complexities into clear business objectives using strong interpersonal skills
