Requirements

Must:
- 15 years of experience in embedded software or network stack development, with 5+ years concentrated on Wi-Fi. - Extensive knowledge of IEEE 802.11 standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be) and related Wi-Fi Alliance certifications. - Proficiency in TCP/IP stack, L2/L3 networking, VLANs, QoS, DHCP, NAT, DNS. - Experience with embedded Linux / OpenWRT / SDK-based Wi-Fi stacks. - Proven track record of integration with chipset manufacturers (MXL, Qualcomm, Broadcom, MediaTek, etc.). - Demonstrated leadership experience managing engineering teams or serving as a system architect.

Responsibilities

- Define and lead the comprehensive architecture of Wi-Fi subsystems, including MAC/PHY integration, drivers, and networking stack. - Assess and assimilate next-generation Wi-Fi standards (Wi-Fi 6/6E/7) and innovative technologies (OFDMA, MU-MIMO, mesh, WPA3, etc.). - Establish system-level performance benchmarks (throughput, latency, roaming, coexistence) and confirm design adherence. - Oversee the Wi-Fi software/firmware development team, directing technical strategies, conducting code evaluations, and instituting best practices. - Collaborate with chipset suppliers (Broadcom, MXL, MediaTek, Qualcomm) to enhance performance and troubleshoot challenges. - Manage Wi-Fi driver and firmware creation for embedded platforms (Linux/OpenWRT/RTOS). - Work closely with hardware, quality assurance, and network engineering teams for smooth product integration and testing. - Analyze logs, resolve intricate connectivity problems, and optimize performance across PHY, MAC, and application layers.
