Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of experience in software development or data engineering roles
- Strong command of Python, SQL, Spark, with experience in Scala
- Practical experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Presto, Flink, and Kafka
- Proficiency in ETL processes, data warehousing, and distributed systems
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is an advantage
- Capability to analyze large datasets, pinpoint gaps, and provide actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain efficient, resilient data pipelines to collect, process, and store data from various sources
- Develop and refine data models for advanced analytics and merchandising strategies
- Ensure high data quality through validation, consistency checks, and monitoring processes
- Construct scalable pipelines using SparkSQL, Python, and Scala, while utilizing Airflow for orchestration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Scientists, Product Managers, Finance, and Engineering
- Influence community standards by shaping tools and best practices within our Data Engineering ecosystem
- Enhance code and data quality through automation and proactive issue detection
