Requirements
Must:
- Over 10 years of design and implementation experience with distributed applications and systems
- More than 10 years in information technology, enterprise data-center technologies, and private cloud
- At least 3 years of practical experience architecting solutions on Google Cloud Platform
- Comprehensive understanding of infrastructure automation and cloud-based delivery models
- Proficiency in software development and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Terraform)
- Experience managing and utilizing Git repositories (GitLab, GitHub)
- Scripting skills in one or more programming languages, such as Java, C/C++, C#, Objective C, Python, or JavaScript
- Familiarity with on-premise to cloud migrations and IT transformations
- Insight into VMware, KVM, or similar virtualization software
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
- Understanding of PaaS platforms like Pivotal, Cloud Foundry, or OpenShift
- Knowledge of Google resource hierarchy, IAM and service account provisioning
- Familiarity with microservice patterns using various frameworks (Node.js, Python, Java, etc.)
- Experience with Kubernetes and Service Mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd)
- Understanding of observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Kiali, Google Stackdriver)
- Insight into DevOps and GitOps CI/CD implementation using tools like Cloud Build, Tekton, and Flux
- Knowledge of Kubernetes Operators and Helm charts, as well as cloud automation with Ansible, YAML, and Kubernetes orchestration.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Google Cloud Platform team on various cloud programs, including certifications and partner engineering
- Design and implement high-availability solutions in multi-cloud environments
- Oversee cloud architecture and design, focusing on compute and storage services
- Provision Google resource hierarchy, IAM, and service accounts
- Utilize microservice patterns across multiple programming frameworks
- Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes and Service Mesh technologies
- Implement observability tools to monitor application performance
- Contribute to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in the cloud
- Facilitate on-premise to cloud migration processes
- Work with virtualization technologies
- Drive the adoption of containerization solutions across the organization
