Requirements
Must:
- TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE WITH SCI ELIGIBILITY REQUIRED.
- Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited institution in an engineering, scientific, or technical field.
- Professional Certifications: IAT II, which requires a Security+ or equivalent, along with Continuous Education (CE) for CSWF Designated Positions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Consideration for equivalent experience: Nine years in technical roles related to Information Technology, with specific experience outlined.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a capacity for teamwork.
- Experience in the technology or defense industry is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and upgrade security software to ensure optimal performance.
- Fortify networks using firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), password protection, Access Control Lists (ACLs), VLANs, and industry-standard hardening techniques.
- Implement secure frameworks and risk management processes, including patch management and STIG implementation.
- Respond to privacy breaches and mitigate malware threats.
- Act as a security expert, providing training and guidance to team members.
- Develop and draft security policies and operational guidelines.
- Engage in system administration or security-focused roles, ensuring functionality of networking systems and firewalls.
