Requirements

Must:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required - 4 to 6 years of relevant experience - Associates degree in Mechanical or Electronics preferred - Experience in field service, including knowledge of printers and diagnostic applications - Advanced computer skills (networking, multi-operating systems, Windows Server, Linux, etc.) are preferred - Understanding of TDM print market - Willingness to travel up to 70% (domestic and internationally), including overnight stays (valid drivers license, passport, and good driving record required) - Ability to work in a 24/7 environment, perform shift work, and participate in on-call rotations - Capacity to obtain necessary security clearances to access customer premises - Technical certifications such as A+, Network+, MCSE are highly desired - Advanced color certification preferred - Familiarity with PLC/Control software is advantageous - Knowledge of digital workflows in a color environment is desired - Ability to lift 50 lbs and remain mobile over 50% of the time (walking, standing, stooping/kneeling)

Responsibilities

- Deliver ongoing third-level technical support to field engineers and troubleshoot equipment issues - Assist with field support for new product launches and installations - Provide guidance on adjustments, repairs, upgrades, and troubleshooting procedures using available resources - Conduct audits on accounts/equipment performance, ensure maintenance standards are met, and report findings - Timely escalation of issues to minimize customer downtime - Update Canon USA Management on the status of escalated issues - Regularly use SAR, imPACT, RCCA, CRM, Maintenance Assist, Remote Assist & ADAM - Maintain and update problem records and document resolved and unresolved issues - Organize information to enhance the efficiency of other engineers - Develop documents and input technical updates to the knowledge database and publications - Train fellow engineers on tools, methodologies, and technical insights - Address MICR issues and inquiries related to MICR - Ensure timely completion of all tasks, regardless of owner - Execute Bundle upgrades confidently within established timeframes - Demonstrate understanding of media-related issues and discuss the interaction between ink and media - Utilize ORS dashboard functionality regularly to maintain product quality - Strive to exceed performance targets for strategic products and deliver post-sales support - Communicate field obstacles (documentation, product defects, logistics) to team leads
