Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in integrating automation and electrical systems within industrial settings.
- Comprehensive understanding of PLC systems (Rockwell Automation, Modicon), HMI programming, and SCADA integration.
- Expertise in interpreting industrial wiring diagrams, ladder schematics, and logical drawings.
- Proficient in ladder logic programming, function block diagrams, and object-oriented structured text programming languages including SQL.
- Experience with process instrumentation and final control devices (like VFDs, control valves, transmitters, sensors).
- Familiar with configuration tools, including handheld HART communicators and computer-based configurators.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, RS232, RS485, HART, Serial/Ethernet radios).
- Proven ability in managing projects throughout various phases of the automation lifecycle.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and teamwork abilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to conduct fundamental circuit and instrument calculations while using mathematical concepts in engineering applications.
- Certification as an Electrician is advantageous.
- Must possess a valid drivers license and proof of insurance.
Responsibilities
- Lead or assist in integration projects, focusing on scope formulation, budgeting, scheduling, and procurement processes.
- Contribute to the development and financial estimation of proposals customized to meet client specifications.
- Collaborate with clients to ensure effective project communication, optimal system performance, and overall client satisfaction.
- Design and program automated systems encompassing PLCs, sensors, actuators, control panels, and HMI interfaces.
- Develop and troubleshoot PLC code (preferably Rockwell and Modicon) and HMI applications for industrial operations.
- Integrate innovative automation systems with existing processes and equipment.
- Supervise and instruct others in the testing, validation, and calibration of automated systems to maintain compliance, reliability, and safety standards.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and bolster system reliability.
- Document all automation systems in detail (schematics, SOPs, backups).
- Specify and facilitate the commissioning of SCADA systems, covering server/client setups, network configurations, and instrumentation.
