Junior Engineer

- High School diploma or equivalent experience in hotel or related field required. - A minimum of one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related sector is preferred. - Trade school or college coursework in a relevant field is advantageous. - Flexibility with long hours may be necessary. - Ability to exert over 100 pounds of force occasionally, over 50 pounds frequently, and over 20 pounds consistently. - Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with colleagues and guests in a polite and attentive manner. - Excellent listening skills, with the capability to understand and address employee and guest concerns effectively. - Proficient in multitasking and prioritizing departmental needs to adhere to deadlines. - Committed to friendly and courteous interactions with both guests and staff. - Attendance at all required hotel meetings and training sessions is expected. - Regular attendance in line with Highgate Hotel Standards, adapting per the hotels requirements. - High standards for personal appearance, including adherence to uniform and grooming policies. - Compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards to promote safe and efficient hotel operations. - Focused on enhancing productivity, recognizing problem areas, and supporting solution implementation. - Proficient in problem-solving, including anticipating, identifying, and addressing issues as needed. - Ability to comprehend and apply complex data and information from various sources to achieve objectives. - Willingness to cross-train in other hotel-related positions. - Capability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. - Initiative in anticipating guest or operational requirements. - Ability to perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
