Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in an infrastructure engineering or senior systems/network/endpoint role (or equivalent).
- At least 2 years of experience managing a team.
- Experience with project-level enterprise budgeting and vendor-cost management.
- Strong foundational knowledge in at least three areas: routing, switching, LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls/security, IPSec, PKI, and virtualization.
- In-depth expertise in Windows environments, including Active Directory (both on-premises and hybrid), Windows Server, GPOs, domain trusts, identity management, Intune, and PowerAutomate.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is preferred; familiarity with hybrid cloud setups is a plus.
- Capability to manage help-desk escalations; comfortable operating in high-pressure incident responses, diagnosing intricate issues, and liaising with endpoints, business users, and tech teams.
- Proficiency in documenting, mentoring, and creating runbooks, knowledge base content, and standard operating procedures.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of interfacing with IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team responsible for delivering key enterprise outputs, including designing and implementing business systems, system redundancy and automation, and innovative solutions.
- Actively engage in diagnosing, triaging, and resolving complex issues across the environment (including Windows server, cloud identity, network, and devices), and provide emergency response and incident management for critical infrastructure failures and network outages.
- Oversee networking, routing, and switching tasks: design, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, IPSec/VPN tunnels, routing issues, and firewalls.
- Manage device and endpoint infrastructure, including device provisioning (using Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, RMMs), patching, configuration management, imaging, endpoint security, and enterprise access controls.
- Oversee cloud infrastructure, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and hybrid/cloud identity models; ensure proper configuration, security, monitoring, and cost-control.
- Develop and maintain business automation solutions using Microsoft Power Apps, flows, scripts, and integration with line-of-business applications.
- Promote continuous improvement by automating repetitive tasks, streamlining infrastructure processes, reducing operational effort, and enhancing reliability and availability.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and a knowledge base for escalation procedures, outages, configurations, and changes.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (help desk, application owners, security, network, operations) to meet business objectives and infrastructure initiatives.
- Remain updated on evolving technologies to evaluate and recommend infrastructure enhancements and best practices.
