Requirements
Must:
- Equivalent to a bachelors degree in a relevant field and five years of applicable experience.
- Additional experience can substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
- An advanced degree in a related field may replace the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Data Science is preferred.
- Significant hands-on and progressively responsible experience in data architecture, engineering, and analytics.
- Proficiency in modern programming and query languages (e.g., C#, Python/PySpark, Java, SQL) for development and integration is advantageous.
- Experience with advanced analytics methods such as predictive modeling, data science, or statistical analysis to enhance data-driven decisions.
- Proven ability to design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using modern integration platforms (e.g., Boomi, Talend, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory).
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical expertise in data architecture, analytics, and automation.
- Collaborate with campus stakeholders to convert complex business requirements into scalable and secure data solutions.
- Independently design and deliver integrations, analytics, and reporting capabilities that meet enterprise standards.
- Develop technical specifications, data models, process maps, and comprehensive data solutions from business needs.
- Create scalable data architectures for analytics, reporting, and automation across campus systems.
- Design and implement ETL pipelines, APIs, and data integrations with institutional platforms, including ServiceNow.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and integration standards.
- Develop and manage advanced dashboards, visualizations, and reporting solutions using institutional platforms like Tableau or Power BI.
- Collaborate with functional teams to ensure analytics solutions support accurate and actionable decision-making.
- Execute data quality checks, monitoring, and validation processes for data accuracy and consistency.
- Address and resolve intricate data and integration challenges across systems.
- Assess and trial new technologies and analytical strategies.
- Provide technical insights and architectural guidance to departmental leadership for informed decision-making and strategic investments.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
