Requirements
Must:
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Active Secret Security Clearance (must be maintained)
- Deep understanding of data analytics principles, including data modeling, validation, and exploratory analysis
- Proficient in SQL or comparable query languages
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Power BI (dashboards, reports, data models)
- Experience with Power Query for data transformation and integration
- Strong knowledge of DAX (calculated columns, measures, time intelligence)
- Capability to create and enhance scalable, high-performance data models
- Practical experience with the Army Vantage platform
- Strong facilitation and adult learning teaching abilities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (executive-level writing is essential)
- Skill in conveying intricate technical concepts to non-technical individuals
- Ability to work collaboratively with various organizations and stakeholders
- Excellent organizational skills and the capacity to handle multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Willingness to travel as necessary
Responsibilities
- Teach data analytics concepts, tools, and methodologies with a focus on practical applications
- Lead classroom discussions, hands-on activities, and real-life case studies
- Create and refine curriculum, lesson plans, and teaching resources
- Provide mentorship and support to students on analytical assignments and projects
- Act as a subject matter expert on Power BI and the Army Vantage platform
- Develop data-driven case studies and demonstrations relevant to force management
- Design and administer assessments, practical exercises, and culminating projects
- Integrate data analytics into the How the Army Runs (HTAR) reference materials
- Evaluate external training programs and adopt effective practices
- Assist in the creation of white papers, research documents, reports, and executive summaries
- Train senior leaders in courses such as FICSL and SLOCs
- Conduct portable training at CONUS locations as needed
- Update AFMS academic SOPs and aid in curriculum modernization efforts
