Requirements

Must:
- Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in an accredited postsecondary program majoring in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, or Engineering. - Minimum of one year of coursework in programming using high-level languages such as Python or C#. - Minimum of one year of coursework in full stack development, covering front-end and back-end components along with documentation. - A strong motivation to pursue certification in at least one AWS Technical Certification, such as AWS Certified Data Engineer - Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, or equivalent certifications.

Responsibilities

- Assist in the design, development, and reengineering of web applications leveraging AWS services. - Collaborate with development teams to create scalable and efficient cloud-based solutions. - Engage in peer development activities, including discussions on merge requests and code reviews. - Contribute to the creation of Technical Description Documents (TDD) and System Design Documents (SDD). - Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, and document features using a Git management tool like JIRA. - Participate in developing reusable patterns using the AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK). - Gain hands-on experience with front-end technologies and back-end programming within the AWS environment. - Support the gathering of requirements and assist in converting them into technical specifications utilizing tools like Jira and Confluence.

This position provides valuable exposure to data engineering, solutions architecture, and development principles, making it an ideal choice for students in technical or engineering fields. Upon completion of the internship, you will gain confidence to pursue the AWS Practitioner exam, and you will have opportunities to engage with essential AWS tools and services. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required as we assist candidates in obtaining a U.S. Security Clearance.
