Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field is preferred. - Alternatively, over 5 years of experience in Network Engineering with robust hands-on experience in Network Automation and Python scripting will be accepted. - Proficiency in Python programming. - Strong experience in backend automation, API development, and data structures. - Familiarity with databases (SQL). - Experience with web applications using Javascript and React. - Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift. - Solid grasp of DevOps best practices and CI/CD workflows. - Familiarity with network automation technologies like NETCONF, Netmiko, NAPALM, TextFSM, SNMP, Direct CLI, and Ansible network modules. - Ability to work collaboratively within a team under the guidance of senior engineers or analysts. - Willingness to adapt and learn new technologies and methods for ongoing development. - Basic experience with data processing or pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend) obtained through coursework, projects, or internships. - Availability for on-call support of data pipeline monitoring or issue resolution may be required. - Potential for up to 10% travel.

Responsibilities

- Design and maintain Python and Ansible automations for network engineering processes. - Program backend automation for provisioning and deploying network equipment and related backend systems. - Engage with APIs and manage data pipelines. - Conduct code demonstrations. - Draft low-level design documentation along with some high-level design documentation. - Troubleshoot and enhance automations for efficiency. - Collaborate with senior engineers to establish best practices and standards. - Work directly with network engineers and stakeholders to generate and analyze user requirements for Agile user stories and features.
