Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Over 7 years of experience in supporting IT programs, testing initiatives, or technical project management
- Proven experience in managing technical teams and coordinating complex workflows
- Strong knowledge of software testing, testing environments, and quality assurance methodologies
- Demonstrable ability to cultivate client relationships and communicate proficiently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in Federal IT settings is preferable
- Background in supporting centralized test centers or enterprise testing organizations
- Familiarity with Agile and/or hybrid project delivery methods
- PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification (mandatory)
- Experience with large Federal health IT programs
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee data center operations across various testing initiatives and clients
- Convert client needs and priorities into actionable work schedules and plans
- Monitor deliverables, milestones, dependencies, risks, and challenges
- Provide consistent and accurate status updates to program leadership and government stakeholders
- Identify and proactively address risks that may affect schedules, quality, and performance
- Assign day-to-day tasks, set priorities, and coordinate efforts for data center team members
- Assess workload, capacity, and execution progress within the team
- Uphold standardized procedures for task tracking, progress updates, and follow-through
- Mentor and support team members regarding expectations, communication, and delivery discipline
- Act as the primary escalation contact for execution or resource-related issues
- Act as the main client point of contact for data center operational tasks
- Manage client expectations concerning scope, timelines, and testing limitations
- Clearly communicate technical challenges, risks, and dependencies in accessible language
- Assist in resolving issues and de-escalating problems in conjunction with program leadership
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with government stakeholders and integrated teams
- Maintain a solid understanding of testing methodologies, tools, environments, and processes
- Engage in technical discussions to ascertain scope, complexity, and feasibility
- Validate testing strategies and estimations at a high level
- Ensure testing activities align with program requirements and uphold quality standards
- Collaborate with technical leads to ensure effective execution
- Assist the Manager with execution oversight, personnel coordination, and client interactions
- Allow the Manager to concentrate on technical strategy, architecture, and long-term advancements
- Ensure continuity of leadership during the Managers absence
- Adhere to corporate policies, ensuring high utilization of time on client billable work
- Provide performance evaluation feedback to junior staff and contract team leadership
- Actively engage in business development, focusing on proposal efforts and client engagement activities
